Help an Independent Texan
Dear Paul:
Another plea to get me in front of “loss-leader” type donors. I am raising money, but it is fractional compared to donors’ ability to give and the campaign’s needs. With a profoundly unpopular and tone-deaf incumbent, one might think this would be a tad easier, considering the people I am asking. Alas, it isn’t.
To be blunt, I need to move outside of typical political funding circles to less risk-averse networks to raise at least $50,000 by October 1—and put the campaign in a position to have a puncher’s chance at an upset. Worst case scenario, I can land a hard blow to the Texas Republicans and Democrats for failing their constituents, time and time again—that would be politically earth-shattering in a monied, powerful state like Texas while creating a template for others to use in 2026.
Here are links to the website and donation page, as well as my interview with you HERE or a direct donation link HERE.
Please know that I am dialing for dollars every day. I am grateful and fortunate to continue to have a pro-bono wonderland of talented people helping me.
However, the campaign is in a different place. I can only move as fast as my physical environment will allow, and I need to expand my reach significantly and contact as many voters as possible with a message that, when it’s heard, resonates with voters in the Hill Country.
So, you know, I often drive hours round trip to get to events as the candidate, campaign manager, and intern—often with spotty cell service. I need to increase my presence on social media with ad buys, add in other advertising mechanisms, and start utilizing 3rd-party vendors for direct mail and telephones (live calls and texts) to expand our reach. And who doesn’t love a good yard sign?
I ask for your help setting me up so people can hear me.
This has been a wild ride in a parallel political universe!
Thank you in advance for your consideration. You can reach me at campaign@kodifortexas.com or (512) 710-7158.
Kindest regards,
– Kodi
